проблема такая.
приобрел свежий ноут Acer EX2509 P3ZG со встроенным интелловским видео HD Graphics и предустановленной убунтой. ее снес и поставил свежую OpenSUSE 13.2 X86_64. ребутнулся ок, обновился, еще один нормальный ребут, без ошибок и т.п. поработал немного и при последующих ребутах одна и та же картина: с обычными параметрами загружаюсь - появляется зеленый бут-сплеш, висит 3-5 секунд и появляется черный экран. просто черный экран даже без всяких курсоров. кеды дальше не грузятся вообще. но если грузиться с параметрами Recovery Mode, то все ок, загрузка идет, ошибок не замечал.
видео вроде как корректно определилось как ValleyView Gen7. в /etc/sysconfig/ в DISPLAYMANAGER="kdm".
систему переустанавливал 3 раза. проблема сохраняется.
может кто помочь устранить проблему?

когда прогружается recovery mode, то могу зайти и обычным пользователем.  но вот стандартная загрузка у меня вообще не проходит. в этом-то и проблема. выше описано.

Нечему там смущать, все закомментировано.

Да, модули vbox* и vmware не нужны, соответствующие xf86-video-* можно выкинуть. А xorg.conf.install ни на что не будет влиять, пока вы его не переименуете в xorg.conf. Получается, у вас иксы стартуют с параметрами по умолчанию, но не находят /dev/dri/card0. Либо нода устройства не создается, либо нет прав чтения и записи в устройство.

Истинный hotplug - это обычная электрическая розетка: воткнул - работает, и никаких драйверов.

ну да, каталога /dev/dri вообще нет. соответственно и card0 отсутсвует:

тогда вопрос такой: как можно исправить чтобы в обычном режиме загружаться? переименовать xorg.conf.install в xorg.conf, сохранить это дело. а дальше что?
еще интересно, каким макаром  загрузка в recovery mode проходит нормально, грузятся иксы и все остальное работает?

bionet, для recovery смотрите, какие параметры передаются ядру, а среди них есть как минимум два интересных: nomodeset и x11-failsafe, второй обрабатывается не ядром, а, похоже, systemd. И именно systemd (точнее, systemd-udev) виноват в том, что не создает ноду устройства (нет правила, которое бы это делало), а ядро, вероятно, вашего видео еще не знает. Правило можно и написать, а вот ядро нужно пробовать наисвежайшее.

Фигня всё. Раньше мы писали этот xorg.conf - и всё получалось. А сейчас - эта systemd. ac
Я - как-то не поработал в ней. Но, попробовать понять?

Скорее всего из-за плимута ее и не видно...

Вот. У меня - Ubuntu 14.04.
Загручик - не её, грузится в текстовом режиме. За секунды три. И где там какие-то экраны, которые можно считать?

У меня было так:
Запускаемся с лайва, все нормально стартует, даже нуво работает...
ставим систему на винт, нуво работает, но при загрузке системы просто черный экран, тоесть даже плимут не показывается
делаем при этом квадратные глаза и забиваем болт ибо система то стартует и работает....
...дальше ставлю дров nvidia и при этом гдето косячу....
в итоге иксы перестают стартовать, но и консоль не видно, тоесть тоже что и у ТСа
Пеерезагрузился, и в грабе убрал эту дурнуватую заставку, F10 и оп-па - оно заработало))
Нормально себе загрузилось в multiuser и вывод всего барахла при загрузке был....
...вот те и на....
