А... это я последний раз gentoo-sources собирал с конфигом из kernel-seeds ... нафиг...
С zen-sources такого никогда не было чтобы такую мелочь забывали.
Из git zen-sources 3.06 сейчас забрал (бестолку в portage до сих пор zen 2.6.39)...

Так ты что подгружал?
У меня проблем с часами нет, но ругается тоже, в конфиге

# zgrep -i rtc /proc/config.gz
# CONFIG_RTC is not set
# CONFIG_GEN_RTC is not set
# CONFIG_RTC_CLASS is not set

# ls -l /dev/rtc
ls: невозможно получить доступ к /dev/rtc: Нет такого файла или каталога

Нашел всетаки проблему. Оказывается в ядре было отключенно:

Консоль:

Device Drivers->Character devices->Enhanced Real Time Clock Support

Включил не модулем и проблема решилась.

hwclock --debug
До пересборки ядра выдавало что не может обратится к системным часам. Ну а теперь:

Консоль:

hwclock --debug
hwclock из util-linux 2.20
Используется /dev interface to clock.
Подразумевается, что аппаратные часы выставлены по UTC времени.
Ожидается тиканье часов...
/dev/rtc не имеет функций прерывания. В цикле ожидается для смены время из /dev/rtc
...получено тиканье часов
Время, прочитанное с аппаратных часов: 2011/10/16 11:58:47
Аппаратное время: 2011/10/16 11:58:47 = 1318766327 секунд с 1969
Вск 16 Окт 2011 15:58:47 -0.801589 секунд

Ну и еще добавил в конфиг строку CLOCK_OPTS="--directisa" может и без нее работало бы просто увидел такой совет на форуме gentoo

Можно ставить решено. Разобрался наконец с часами а то достали уже. Столько проблем из за них было
