пошёл по первому пути)
вообщем скачал образ вот здесь, где обычно образы и качал

а именно вот в этом зеркале:

установил...и...ахнул!!!
здесь воообще всё по-другому как в Ф14!(((

естественно перед тем как продолжить в сторону mapserver я установил apache:

#yum install httpd
....
Ok!

далее пытаюсь сделать как в ф14 делал запустить httpd

#/etc/init.d/httpd restart

и ничего хорошего не произошло...я подофигел...но вообщем понял, что в ф20 теперь так нельзя запускать и рестартовать apach((

погуглили..и вроде должно перезапускаться так:

первая команда понятна...а вот команда

[root@localhost html]# systemctl status httpd.service

не совсем...интуитивно понятно, что посмотреть татус сервера...запустился или нет...

работаю через putty к виртуалке где Ф20...а на реальной винда 7.
так с реальной пробую брузер загрузить...в строке адреса:

http://[i]ip_F20[/i]/

говорит не может ничего найти((
пытаюь залесть в раб стол виртуалка-а он уже заблокировался...пробую отправить сигнал ctrl+alt+del нет реакции...капец в ф20 разблокировка стола-уже проблема стала((проверить на вертуалке ф20 в браузере апач я естественно не могу уже(((

...так что с апачем полурешение пока....

двигаюсь дальше...по поводу изначальной цели mapserver

делаю так:

[root@localhost html]# yum searh mapserver

делаю вывод mapserver установлен...но как ним работать и настраивать на карты и возможнотью отметить на этих картах свои объекты и соединения между этими объектами-пока тоолько на уровне фантазий(((если кто имел с этим проектом дело-дайти пару слок желательно русскоязычных, чтобы научиться с ним работать((был бы признателен...сам пробовал-не могу подходящее найти((всё на анг яз...в целом понимаю конечно, но нюансы не улавливаю((

вообщем как-то так(((не совсем удачно всё(((желание есть, упорство еть, но навыка не хватает((

ок...попробую перейти на Ф20....я всё равно сейчас на виртуалке пробую всё...отпишусь потом как и что

я ничего не удалял....

ось вот такая у меня:

есть карты, с которыми я хотел бы работать....жаль не знаю как здесь передать скриншот, чтобы долго не объяснять что хотелось бы получить в итоге....

вообщем mapserver этот нужен...

я скачал архив, распаковал...смотрю там конфигурац.файла нет...почитал на mapserver.org вроде там написано, что нужно создать его руками...
вот создал его самостоятельно и пробую make....не пашет(

А там разве уже не было файла configure? Ты его уничтожил что ли?
Его трогать не надо было. А создать отдельный скрипт с этим содержимым. В инструкции же всё написано.

С каким именем ты создал этот файл? Его и запускай. И убедись, что пустая строка в конце добавлена.

Забыли configure выполнить
./configure
а вот после него уже make запускать можно.

если делаю так:

#./configure

то никакого изменения на экране нет...лишь только можно набрать любые символы...т.е. ком.инерпритатор не выходит в режим возможности набирания команды....замудрено сказал, но если в двух словах, то после этой команды курсор переходит на сл строку и всё....можно набирать любые символы...и строки # не выходит...

поэтому по поводу cmake я решил установить из репозитория..вроде успешно, но вот mapserver так и не могу установить((

Ну ты не установил компилятор.
Установи ещё из репозитория пакеты gcc gcc-c++
Возможно и ещё что-то понадобится.

У тебя же все ошибки английским по белому написаны. Просто читай их и исправляй.

Установи cmake из репозитория. Не надо в федору тащить всё из исходников.
И Ф16 более не обновляется и не поддерживается. Переходи на актуальную Ф20.

Забыли configure выполнить

./configure

а вот после него уже make запускать можно.
