Alena, рекомендую не набирать команды вручную, а копировать/вставлять. Так тяжелее ошибиться.

ну не знаю, вообще у меня все русифицировано на рабочем столе Домашняя папка в ней кроме прочих папок есть папка Рабочий стол папка открывается через диспетчер файлов Valigura-Dolphin, просто я не понимаю, что к чему!

Значит путь не верный путь.
Попробуй открыть mc и погулять по своим каталогам, зайти в "Рабочий стол", может всёже не Deskctop называется.

Будет ли отображён образ, который ты хочешь смонтировать?

не получается, на счет правильности пути не знаю он у меня находиться на рабочем столе, программа PlyaOnLinux устанавливает игру только с CD . нарезать не могу образ весит 5,6 г . Ребята а нет какой нибудь программы типа Alcohol ?

Сделаем проще:

Консоль:

$ su
# mkdir /mnt/vrtcd
# mount -t iso9660 /home/valigura/Desktop/Sims3.iso /mnt/virtcd -o loop

Если всеравно не получится, то нужно будет проверить правильность пути до образа.
Далее, когда диск будет смонтирован:

Консоль:

# urpmi playonlinux

Приложение PlyaOnLinux предназначено для установки игр windows для работы в среде Linux, MacOs. Программа поддерживает The Sims 3 поэтому проблем ни с установкой, ни с игрой быть не должно.

Ребята, большое спасибо за помощь и терпение , но и через root пишет ,что нет такого файла

mount -a [-t|-O] ... : mount all stuff from /etc/fstab
mount device : mount device at the known place
mount directory : mount known device here
mount -t type dev dir : ordinary mount command
Note that one does not really mount a device, one mounts
a filesystem (of the given type) found on the device.
One can also mount an already visible directory tree elsewhere:
mount --bind olddir newdir
or move a subtree:
mount --move olddir newdir
One can change the type of mount containing the directory dir:
mount --make-shared dir
mount --make-slave dir
mount --make-private dir
mount --make-unbindable dir
One can change the type of all the mounts in a mount subtree
containing the directory dir:
mount --make-rshared dir
mount --make-rslave dir
mount --make-rprivate dir
mount --make-runbindable dir
A device can be given by name, say /dev/hda1 or /dev/cdrom,
or by label, using -L label or by uuid, using -U uuid .
Other options: [-nfFrsvw] [-o options] [-p passwdfd].
For many more details, say man 8 mount .

ВСЕ В КОНСОТЕ (ТЕРМИНАЛЕ)
- запустили
- набираем su - (нажимем Enter)
- набираем пароль root (нажимаем Enter) (при наборе пароль не отображается!)
- mount -t iso9660 -o loop, ro /home/valigura/Desktop/Sims3.iso /media/cdrom/
- в другой консоли набирается : wine /media/cdrom/как там называется экзкшник установочный.exe (нажимаем Enter)

залогиньтесь под root, потом монтируйте (все в консоли)

Мужно ставить пробелы:

вот что получилось, если я правильно делала?
