Нужно посмотреть -- загружен ли модуль dri

xorg.conf не нужен (в большинстве случаев), т.к. xorg автоконфигурируется через udev.

Показывает в 2 раза меньше фреймов в секунду, чем обычно. Само изображение притормаживает. Может в xorg занести какие-то данные о карте от intel 965? Потому как там пусто.

Главное сколько fps показывает.
А их кол-во зависит от видеокарты и драйверов.

Изображение в glxgears притормаживает. Не должно! Некогда гуглить.
