Что делаю не так?

Я ставила вайн на 12-ю федору 64-ую, по сей день стоит. На драйвер звука ругался, я списала все на отсутствие дров матери в системе, устанавливать поленилась, забила в общем. Но ВоВку запустила, другие игры не пробовала за отсутствием оных. Помогло наличие результатов тестирования на офф.сайте вайна (я хоть убедилась, что конкретная игрушка должна загружаться под моей ОС, аз начит проблема в моих руках и голове).

Судя по этим строкам, пытается запуститься именно 64-битный вайн

усё. то есть, лично я решил проблем.

Судя по этим строкам, пытается запуститься именно 64-битный вайн

Проверил /etc/skel , /etc. никаких упоминаний..
посмотерл на систему. x64 версии нет.

wine      i686    1.1.38-1.fc12 и все.

Что-то в федорином горе перемудрили. под archlinux, с aur, работало все.

yum install wine

в консоли написал

yum install wine.i686

поскольку система у меня 64-битная, то вайн х64 работает криво, вайн х86 работает нормально

Кстати, сейчас проверил у себя. Поставил на х64 wine-i686... не падает

Можно по-подробнее?

Ставится та версия, которая на данный момент в репозиториях. Почему именно эта версия, вопрос к разработчикам дистрибутива.
По поводу ошибки можно написать баг-репорт разработчикам.
Кстати, вайн падает практически как только вышла Федора 12, по крайней мере, у меня, на х64

Короче всё ясно, для игр поставим винду и будем внеё перезагружаться...
