smbclient -L netbios-name -U user_name

[root@localhost duke]# smbclient -L duke-win -U duke
Enter duke's password:
Connection to duke-win failed (Error NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME)

samba.conf

    # целом для всех ресурсов.

    workgroup = NETDUKE
    netbios name = duke-lin

    security = share

[obmen]
    path = /home/duke/obmen
    comment = obmen
    guest ok = Yes
    guest only = Yes
    writeable = Yes

[root@localhost duke]# samba start
Starting SMB services:
Starting NMB services:                                          [  OK  ]

[root@localhost duke]# samba reload
Reloading smb.conf file:                                        [  OK  ]

Samba 3.5.8 (Duke-lin).

для того что бы можно было обращаться по именам, необходим dns или wins(или на всех зостах сделать правку в файле etc/hosts в windows это файл %systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts).

    wins support = yes
    netbios name = duke-lin

chown

bash-4.2$ chown -R nobody:nobody obmen

Fedora GNOME3

16

# 7. Name Resolution Options:
# All NetBIOS names must be resolved to IP Addresses
# 'Name Resolve Order' allows the named resolution mechanism to be specified
# the default order is "host lmhosts wins bcast". "host" means use the unix
# system gethostbyname() function call that will use either /etc/hosts OR
# DNS or NIS depending on the settings of /etc/host.config, /etc/nsswitch.conf
# and the /etc/resolv.conf file. "host" therefore is system configuration
# dependant. This parameter is most often of use to prevent DNS lookups
# in order to resolve NetBIOS names to IP Addresses. Use with care!
# The example below excludes use of name resolution for machines that are NOT
# on the local network segment
# - OR - are not deliberately to be known via lmhosts or via WINS.
# name resolve order = wins lmhosts bcast

Erra,

Mageia4, KDE  4.11.4.

Erra

Fedora GNOME3
