Доброго дня!
Разбираюсь в samba, хочу увидеть на Windows папку Linux server-а.
Что сделал на  Linux

smbclient -L 192.168.0.22 -U%
Domain=[ALGROUP] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 3.5.1]

запустил

/usr/sbin/smbd -D
/usr/sbin/nmbd -D

с windows пинг Linux server-а  есть, рабочая группа на  windows  совпадает с smb.conf но не вижу расшареной папки на linux.
Подскажите  где что еще проверить и посмотреть, заранее благодарю.

Я бы добаил в [global] следующее:

# Уровень определения прав доступа на уровне пользователей
security = user

# Приоритет данного сервера среди других компьютеров рабочей группы:

# отображение ресурсов сети. Для сравнения, у Win9X os level = 34, а
# у NT4 os level = 64.
os level = 65

# Обычно в простейшей сети WINS не нужен, но не помешает

И в секцию [data] добавил бы ключики browseable=yes и writable = yes

Не помогло, 

smbclient -L 192.168.0.22 -U%

еще запускаю демоны
/usr/sbin/smbd -D
/usr/sbin/nmbd -D
но почему 2 процесса висит

[root@inet /]# ps -ae | grep smbd

У вас дважды что ли самба запускается?

вот так почему то 

[root@inet /]# /sbin/service smb start
