Можно, но с некоторыми оговорками: в исходных кодах ядра от Gentoo не будет убунтовских патчей и, возможно, каких-то опций. И, соответственно, наоборот.

Можно проще - скачать любое ядро Aptosid + в Midnight Commander зайти в deb пакет как в обчный архив и скопировать конфиг оттуда.

В deb-based дистрибутивах сработает (зайти как в архив), в Gentoo надо доставить пакет dpkg.
Понял, благодарю. А все таки, как узнать, причина в ядре или нет. Может я что то не так делал при установке Х-сов?
Как надо устанавливать Х-сы и DE? Я делал так:
1. Выбрал профиль desktop
2.emerge -uavDN world
3.emerge -av xorg-server
4.emerge -av xfce-base/xfce4-meta
Затем перегрузился, загрузилась консоль, сделал startx, после некоторых операций и мигания цветом экрана, опять в консоли.

# nano /home/USER/.xinitrcДля запуска Xfce добавляем строку:
exec ck-launch-session xfce4-sessionПотом не startx, а
# xinitОшибки смотрим в /var/log/Xorg.0.log
А видюха какая? Собирал на нее дрова если да то как? и xorg.conf покажи

сделал X -config /root/xorg.conf.new , вверху на экране появились красные круги неправильной формы и все.

Не надо ничего удалять, просто измени строчки в make.conf и:

При вводе команд emerge -pv xorg-x11 и emerge -pv xorg-server
я получаю разные выводы, первый для установки требует 68 пакетов, а второй установлен, какой мне нужен?

Х-сы не запустились, вышел в консоль, там 3 ошибки:

qlist -I -C x11-drivers/P.S. qlist — утилита из пакета app-portage/portage-utils.
Если не лень, покажите /var/log/Xorg.0.log после загрузки с моим конфигурационным файлом.
То есть попробуйте так:
emerge -av twm xtermТеперь от пользователя
[ -f ~/.xinitrc ] && mv ~/.xinitrc{,.old}; echo -e 'xterm &\nexec twm' > ~/.xinitrcstartx...и после этого покажите /var/log/Xorg.0.log

Можно и от root'а, но!... если нет возможности скопировать команду, просто создайте в каталоге /root файл .xinitrc следующего содержания

exec twmПрошу прощения, не получается, Gentoo сейчас без интернета, а надо emerge -av twm xterm, требует несколько пакетов, которых в моих distfiles нет.

Так проще уж сразу в /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
Если после запуска
startxостанется только чёрный экран, попробуйте выйти обратно в консоль по Ctrl+Alt+←.
Все выполнил, Х-сы не загрузились, даже не было как раньше, вверху экрана цветных кругов, вывелись ошибки и автоматом вышел в консоль, что теперь лог выложить?
