Здравствуйте.

Решил попробовать Mandriva, скачал-поставил. Версия 2011.0 х86_64. Пока все радует, кроме одного: не могу подключиться к Wi-Fi-сети. Настройки подключения все ввел правильно (специально перепроверил), но получаю сообщение "Сбой подключения".

Что сделал:
1). Для начала обновил систему. Обновлял через стандартную утилиту, не через консоль.
2). Попытался установить драйвер ndiwrapper. Не получилось - официальный сайт производителя дал файлики .inf для WinXP и Win7, но оба выдали ошибку при установке.
3). Установил wicd. Он не запускается, т.к. не находит DBus-interface.

Ноутбук Acer Aspire 5745G. Wi-fi: Atheros AR9285.

Помимо установки и запуска самого графического апплета, должен быть запущен и wicd-сервис.

Был, был и весь вышел...

Есть такая беда, сам намаялся когда-то. Хотя если честно, может проще было в конфиги залезть, а я только штатным Сетевым центром. Во-первых, он почему-то черезжопно запоминает настройки, во-вторых, применяет их гарантированно только после перезагрузки, в-третьих не очень понимает автоматическое определение шифрования.

Если это поможет, то после некоторой возни с настройками как ноутов, так и роутера, помирил их навсегда на следующем - роутер:

Security Mode :      WPA Personal
 WPA Mode: Auto (WPA/WPA2)
Cipher Type: TKIP and AES

После этого все клиенты спокойно стали подключаться при указанной строго WPA/WPA2, подключать при загрузке. Это выставить и перезагрузиться.

Насчет сервиса:
service wicd start - показал статус ОК.

Между тем, ошибка запуска никуда не делась. Где можно посмотреть логи?

Просто настройка это несколько дистрибутиво-зависима. ac
Единственное, что могу точно сказать, если запущен wicd-сервис, никаких других скриптов инициализации для поднятия интерфейса быть не должно!
P.S. У меня логи пишутся в каталог /var/log/wicd, примерно там и в вашем дистрибутиве должно быть.

Переустановил wicd с помощью штатной программы "Настрока системы - Установка и удаление программ", теперь при запуске он мне выдает это:
