kernel .config (Самый дефолтный, после oldconfig)

Пытался установить linux-firmware (для WiFi-карточки необходим) - из портеджей не поставилось (говорит, что не может заменить файлы в /lib/firmware - при том, что делаю это под root'ом.

Раньше ставил х86 и таких проблем не было - вафля работала нормально, а тут ни в какую не хочет ac Скачать и установить фирмварь +исходники модуля от Реалтека не говорите - уже пробовал, не компилятся ac Сильно устарели они, не поддерживают новое ядро...

PS: Мне хотя бы WiFi завести, Ethernet на ноуте мне не так-то и важен...

Попробуйте загрузиться с последнего SystemRescueCd, если там сетевые карты определятся, проще будет найти причину.

Ставил поверх установленного вручную:
emerge linux-firmware
Вручную ставил так - скопировал архив в /usr/src/fw, распаковал, внутри распакованной папки "make && make install".

Если все доступные файлы firmware не нужны, можно собрать этот пакет с флагом USE="savedconfig" и отредактировать файл /etc/portage/savedconfig/sys-kernel/linux-firmware-20130113, оставив только необходимые прошивки, пересобрать опять пакет.

Переименовал /lib/firmware. Все установилось.
В конфиге оставил:

Сори, забыл включить. Но предыдущие версии ядер я собирал со включенными опциями CONFIG_ATL1C и CONFIG_RTL8192SE  - результат тот же. Попробую пересобрать...

Надо было и dmesg «до кучи» показать. Сеть поднимается из-под SystemRescueCd?

Я давно отказался от ccache, IMHO, больше проблем, чем профита.

Был, был и весь вышел...

1) Да, сеть под SystemRescueCd поднимается, все ок. По поводу dmesg - сейчас ядро дособирается и ребутнусь в SystemRescueCd...

2) Ну, с моим-то Intel Atom 1,6GHz это очень существенно. Особенно из-за того, что во время сборки очередного пакета может вывалиться kernel panic от перегрева ac С ccache сборка пакета по сути продолжится с места останова, а не с 0 (особенно это актуально для сборки хрома - не менее 3-х часов при MAKEOPTS="-j5" ). Вот сконфигурирую все, как надо и пересоберу world без кэша.

Итак, модули подключились ab Ethernet заработал, WiFi так же.
Спасибо за помощь.

Как я понимаю, вся проблема заключалась в правильной установке linux-firmware, так как ядро почти с такими же конфигами (только убрал поддержку левых карточек для Eth & WiFI) я собирал и запускал - результата не было...

В том-то и дело, что они были включены... Тот конфиг, что я выложил в шапке, я genkernel сгенерировал сегодня утром. А еще вчера я собирал кастомное ядро, в котором эти опции 100% были включены.

Самое главное - все работает ab Буду знать пути решения проблем с фирмварями на будущее bx
